Independent SEND Specialist Guidance

Support at Any Stage of Your Child’s Journey

If you are concerned about your child’s learning, navigating assessment pathways, managing school communication, or feeling unsure about next steps, I offer independent SEND specialist guidance tailored to your family’s situation. Perhaps you’re looking for ways to support learning at home, or you’re overwhelmed by diagnostic reports and the SEN Code of Practice.

I work across a range of additional needs, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism and complex learning profiles.

With nearly twenty years’ experience as a specialist teacher — and as a parent of children with additional needs — I understand how complex this journey can feel. At Great Expectations Education, SEND Strategy Sessions are designed to provide clear, personalised guidance so you can move forward with confidence.

During the session we may:

• Clarify concerns and patterns you are noticing

• Prioritise realistic next steps

• Translate professional recommendations into practical action

• Discuss school communication and SEN processes

• Consider assessment pathways where appropriate

• Identify evidence-based strategies for home and classroom use

• Plan how to support emotional wellbeing alongside learning

You leave with a clearer understanding of what matters most now — and what can wait.

If you’d like to continue working together after your SEND Strategy Session, I offer flexible message-based support to help you put strategies into action
